Why not come and use the computers in the Rowlands Library. We have all the information you need to complete your mandatory e-learning as well as other courses including Medicines Management, Safeguarding Adults & Information Governance. 

New Books!

Worcestershire Health Libraries have new books arriving throughout March. 

The books cover a range of disciplines from medicine to management and everything in between. The image above contains just a few example, visit your local Health Library to see what we have for you.

UpToDate – subscription continuing for 2014

Worcestershire Health Libraries are continuing funding for a Trust-wide subscription to UpToDate for 2014 following charitable funding for 2013. UpToDate summarises the latest research evidence across 21 hospital specialties.  No login is required from the Clinical Systems page of the Intranet - http://nww.worcsacute.nhs.uk/clinical-systems/.   NHS Athens access is available for off-site and mobile use.

Six Book Challenge is back...!

Six Book Challenge 2014

Would you like to get into the reading habit or improve your reading?

The Six Book Challenge is back!  After the success of last year the Worcestershire Health Libraries are running the Reading Agency’s Six Book Challenge again.  The Challenge invites you to pick six reads and record your reading in a diary in order to get a certificate and the chance to enter both a national prize draw to win a trip to London or Kobo e-readers as well as local prize draws.                              

You can read anything you like in print or online - books, magazine articles, websites, whatever suits you.

To get you started, Worcestershire public libraries have loaned a community collection of titles to the health libraries at Worcester, Evesham, Redditch & Kidderminster Hospitals.

Just pop into your local health library to sign up and away you go.

PCs Unavailable Thursday 9th Januray 2014

 

Please note that all lower level computers in the Rowlands Library will be unavailable on 9th January 2014 between 8am and 5pm.

Computers on the upper level will still be available throughout the day.

The reason for this is that we are working with the IT trainers to ensure that new staff members are familiar with IT packages as soon as possible. Trust Induction attendees will be using the lower level PCs for training on IT systems on that day. 

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

To access the Rowlands Library you will need 24 hour access added to your ID badge. If you don't have this already please pop into the library to get it added to your card. Alternatively, you will need to give us a call to access the centre over the festive period on  01905 760601 or internal extension 33760.
